¡¡¡¡ Dayang reports a thriving success at a HD Workshop it participated in collaboration with Medios Associate and several industry partners, comprising Harmonic, Omneon, Panasonic and Snell & Wilcox at the Copthorne Orchid Hotel in Singapore. Conducted over 2 days on 23rd and 24th March, this workshop was chaired by industry veteran Craig Norris and attracted over 40 participants from the broadcasters and production houses. Dayang General Manager of Desktop Product Division, Luo Xiaoxiao gave participants a deep insight on Audio & HD-SDI: Embedding AES/EBU, Dolby E AC3 and Dolby Meta data, encoding time issues and effects of inaccurate Dolby meta data. ¡°With the wide use of 5.1 or 7.1 surround soundtrack in HDTV program production, higher performance on audio processing for sound editing and broadcasting is already in constant demand. End users are looking for a specific well-targeted solution for the whole workflow of HD audio processing, including audio capture, editing and broadcasting. We are delighted to be able to offer a solution designed and dedicated by Dayang Non-Linear Editing products, with the combination of Dolby E technology,¡± comments Chen Wentao, Dayang General Manager of Asia Pacific. Participants were later given a detailed introduction on the range of Dayang products and shown a series of live hands-on demonstrations to demonstrate the capabilities and key product features of the iMAM, Dayang¡¯s Media Asset Management system, the Montage Extreme Non Linear Editing software and Dayang High Definition Character Generator, D3-CG LIVE HD.
