Kanal4 TV and Korek TV of Iraq Go Tapeless With Dayang

Beijing, China, November 25, 2009 - Dayang Technology and ProSave Ltd., Dayang Dealer for Turkey and Iraq announced the two TV Stations, Kanal 4 and Korek TV operated by the same media group, goes on air using Dayang's full automation, media management solutions and character generators.

Kanal4 TV, is a national entertainment television, based in Eribl, N. Iraq and targeting Kurdish people living in N. Iraq and surrounding areas. Korek TV, operated by the same media group is a music TV with live shows and entertainment programs. Both TV stations share a building with 3 studios, 2 control rooms and 2 MCR. The system is fully digital and all workflow is tapeless.

For the tapeless workflow, D³ MiniAir servers have been chosen for Master Control Room, as Master Backup configuration. At the control rooms, D³ MiniAir servers are used for ingest and playout. The backend of the tapeless workflow is based on D³ iMAM system, with different non linear editors, including Apple Final Cut Studio, Grass Valley Edius, Harris Velocity and Avid Media Composer.

For the graphics, each control room and MCR is equipped with D³-CG graphic system for live graphics and channel branding.
